My name is Mayibongwe William Mncube. I am a 16yr old boy who was born with Cerebral palsy.
I was born in Ekurhuleni but grew up in Johannesburg with my parents and my little brother
whom I adore.
I can't speak but I can communicate with my parents, my little brother and my teachers at
Bophelo Day Care Center. They know what I need and when I need it. I love going to school
everyday to play with my friends Nkem, Praise and Tatenda. I like listening to stories
and looking at magazine pictures.
My favourite food is spaghetti and fish. I also like some sweet things like ultramel and
yoghurt.
Princess Mayowa Daodi Moyo
My name is Princess Mayowa Daodi Moyo, I am a 5 year old girl. I was diagnosed with vocal cord paralysis at 1 month old , i am using a tracheostomy (a pipe that helps me to breath as my vocal cords are closed at the moment)I hope one day i will be able to remove this trachea so i can play with my friends freely and i have CP as well but i am so jovial i love smilling and playing a lot .
I love eating weetbix ,sweet things and my friends are Tatenda and Tabiso i cant wait for schools to open so i can play and interact with my friends and my favourite teacher is Teacher Xoli i miss her a lot i am very sure she misses me a lot.
Donnell Tatenda Mashe
My name is Donnell Tatenda Mashe I am a boy. I am 9 years old. I was born in 2012.
I was born with Cerebral Palsy Level 5, I have CVI, and cannot use my hands legs and
body and I also cannot talk like other boys.
I am the second born in a family of 3. I have a big sister and little brother. I
love listening to cartoon on TV and music. My favourite food is Pasta and mince meat,
and because I have difficulties in eating solids, my food is usually blended or mashed
but I still enjoy it very much.
I go to Bobhelo day care centre. At school we sing dance and laugh a lot. My friends
are Junior and Malibongwe. I love my friends and my school, it makes me feel better
as I know I am not alone in this world with CP. I might not be like other boys but
i am happy to be me, Cerebral Palsy is my normal.
Marlon Kundai Mapfumo
My name is Marlon Kundai Mapfumo.I am a boy 5 years old turning 6 in April .I was born ok then at 3 months started having sizures .I am epilepitic and also Cp. I can't talk or walk or do anything for my self.l am the last born in a family of 3 boys.My favourite food is meat and macaroni .I'm happy and looking forward to start my schooling at Bhoiphelo Day Care Centr and already it feels like home for cause I'm gonna meet new friend's who will understand me better.
Praise Mkandawire
My name is Praise Mkandawire I am a girl am 9years old, I was born on 25 June 2011. I was born with Cerebral palsy and am very weak I can't walk but I can use my hands to eat, I can speak nicely.
I am the first born daughter in the family of two my brother is Brian Mkandawire he was born on 24 May 2012. I like watching cartoon, Uzalo and generation's. My favourite good is papa with meat, suppergate and milse meat.
I go to Bobhelo day care center. I love going to this school because we sing, we dance and we laugh. And my best friend my Junior, Malibongwe and Nkem.
Khutso Kganane
My name is Khutso Kganane ..I'm 18 years old born on the 19th February 2003.
I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 8month's...I don't have head control and I can't use my hands I can't even walk, but I can sit on my wheel chair not for a long time though.
I'm staying with my granny, uncle , younger sister and my mom. I love my granny to bits because she gives me cheese curls to open my appetite.
I enjoy watching TV. My favorite is wrestling ,soccer and soapies. My favourite dish is pap and gravy & chips.I also love travelling.
I'm so happy to be attending at Bophelo day care centre because we have loving and caring teachers ...I can't wait to go back to school to see Praise and Mayibongwe not forgetting my favorite teacher Xoli.
Nkem Gabriel Udems
My name is Nkem Gabriel Udems and am just a sweet,happy young boy.( l like to call maself a CP WARRIOR) am 7yrs old.l was born fine ,just developed uncontrollable Seizures at 8months than ended me being a Spastic quadriplegic but they was no cause found🤷‍♀‍
I have a young sister and sometimes she makes me angry bcoz she doesn't understand why l cant play with her the way she wants.l forgive her because she is still young and sweet ,l believe as she is growing she will understand me and my condition.
My favourite food is weebixs, porridge , jollof rice .l also like watching cartoons eg PJ MASK and Mr Bean they are one of ma favourites and also listening to gospel music.
I attend Bophelo day care centre and l feel like its my second home as l really enjoy being there with my lovely , caring supportive teachers and classmates .My best friend is Mayibongwe Mncube, l love this my brother from another mother, he has taught me a lot since we meet in 2019 at school.l can't wait for school to re-open again and meet everyone after a very long period of time.
