Why we need help?

Bophelo Day Care Centre is a non-profit organization (226-436 NPO). The daycare fees (R770 per month) are kept affordable but not all parents are able to pay these fees in full and hence there is a monthly shortfall in funds required to pay the caregivers at Bophelo Day Care Centre. We are in the process of registering with SARS as a Public Benefit Organization and with the Department of Mental Health for a licence and a monthly subsidy. However, this process has taken longer than expected, with COVID slowing down the process even further. Consequently, the running of the centre is dependent on donations and school fees at this time.

How can you help

Are you in the position to sponsor full or part of a child’s monthly daycare fees?
Bophelo Day Care Centre has children whose parents are unfortunately not in the position to pay school fees. The fees are R770 per month which includes breakfast, a snack and cooked lunch. Six of the 18 children need sponsorships.

Could you help us reduce our running costs
Donation of food, nappies or cleaning materials would be a huge help.

Are you able to assist with social media management, fundraising, marketing or are interested in helping Bophelo Day Care Centre?
Please get in touch

Do you have clothes you no longer need or wear which we could sell to raise funds?

What do we need

Until Bophelo gets its licence from the Dept of Mental Health and a monthly subsidy, we are dependent on donors and sponsors for the Centre to remain open. We anticipate that for the next 6 months we will need:

  • Sponsorships of R770 per month for 6 children.

  • Over and above these sponsorships, we need an additional R4 300 per month. If we could get 43 people to donate R100 per month for 6 months; or 22 people donating R200 per month for 6 months, we would make it!
